One Piece Odyssey is a massive one, perhaps the biggest in the franchise so far. With such a huge world to explore, it can be quite overwhelming - especially in the early hours. While it’s not exactly open-world, it has a ton of areas to explore across a variety of locales. Getting around isn’t easy.
To unlock the fast travel feature in One Piece Odyssey, players must complete all of Chapter One and reach the portion of the next chapter during which Luffy and his companions traverse across the Great Sandy Desert. Eventually, players encounter a Yoisa standing next to one of the Taxi Signs they have seen earlier during their journey.
Fast Travel Quest
To unlock fast travel in One Piece Odyssey, players will have to progress through the game until they reach the second chapter of the story. This chapter sees the party in the familiar deserts of Alabasta, home of Princess Vivi, as they find themselves in the midst of a story in which the Straw Hats will revisit many areas they remember from their adventures.
Presented as chapters, these areas will have many things players need to return to after progressing through the story, necessitating fast travel. While progressing through Alabasta, players will eventually come across a little yellow Yoisa with a problem that needs to be solved.
Alternatively, a little later into the game - after defeating a certain boss in a cave at the Great Sandy Desert Oasis - you will also unlock the Crab Mover. This is another means of transport and will allow you to travel between locations by using its respective signposts.
It’s a shame the introduction of fast travel comes quite far into One Piece Odyssey, making the early hours slower than they need to be. But once it’s unlocked, you’ll have a ton of tools at your disposal to make traversal easier in the game.
